This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") describes prohibited uses of ChemSite and is incorporated into the ChemSite Terms of Service. It is intended to protect customers, users, third parties, HEXNET, and the integrity of the platform.
1 Illegal, Fraudulent, or Harmful Activity
You may not use ChemSite to engage in, promote, facilitate, or materially support unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, or harmful activity, including:
Fraud, impersonation, phishing, deceptive commercial practices, or material misrepresentation of identity or authority.
Activity involving products or substances in violation of applicable law, sanctions, export controls, trade restrictions, or other legal requirements.
Bribery, corruption, money laundering, evasion of legal obligations, or assistance to others in unlawful conduct.
Threats, harassment, exploitation, or conduct intended to cause unlawful harm.
2 Product, Safety, and Regulatory Misrepresentation
You may not knowingly publish or distribute materially false, deceptive, or unsupported information concerning products, specifications, composition, identity, safety, regulatory status, certifications, testing, performance, environmental attributes, applications, or suitability.
AI-assisted output does not relieve you of responsibility for technical, safety, regulatory, quality, or commercial claims published through your website.
3 Intellectual Property and Data Rights
You may not upload, connect, publish, copy, distribute, or provide data or content through ChemSite if doing so infringes or misappropriates copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, patents, privacy rights, database rights, contractual restrictions, or other legal rights.
You must have appropriate authority for catalogs, product images, technical documents, manufacturer information, third-party data, personal information, pricing information, commercial observations, and other materials you provide or connect to ChemSite. You may not intentionally submit another party's confidential commercial information if you are not authorized to permit HEXNET to process it under the Terms.
4 Security Abuse
You may not interfere with or compromise ChemSite, another customer, or a connected system, including by:
Attempting unauthorized access to accounts, systems, databases, networks, credentials, or nonpublic information.
Scanning, probing, penetration testing, or vulnerability testing without prior written authorization.
Bypassing authentication, authorization, rate limits, plan limits, usage controls, or security measures.
Introducing malware, ransomware, malicious code, destructive payloads, or intentionally harmful files.
Intercepting traffic or attempting to obtain another user's credentials or information.
Attacking, disrupting, overloading, or degrading a service, network, or system.
5 Platform, Automation, and Resource Abuse
Unauthorized scraping, crawling, bulk extraction, or automated access to ChemSite or HEXNET-provided data.
Reverse engineering, decompiling, disassembling, decoding, or attempting to derive source code except where law expressly prevents restriction.
Circumventing product, catalog, user, storage, AI-usage, integration, licensing, or other plan limits.
Reselling, sublicensing, mirroring, framing, or providing unauthorized third-party access to the Service.
Using ChemSite as general-purpose file storage, compute, messaging, or other infrastructure for which it was not designed.
Creating accounts or technical workarounds intended to avoid fees, restrictions, suspension, or enforcement.
6 Messaging, Forms, and Inquiries
If ChemSite provides forms, inquiry tools, email, or other communications capabilities, you may not use them for spam, unlawful marketing, deceptive communications, malware, or messages that violate applicable consent, privacy, or anti-spam requirements. You are responsible for lawful collection and use of information received through your public website.
7 AI-Assisted Features
You may not use AI-assisted features to generate or facilitate unlawful, fraudulent, infringing, malicious, or deceptive activity, to attempt to discover another customer's confidential information, or to bypass access restrictions.
You remain responsible for reviewing AI-assisted output before publication or reliance, particularly where output concerns product identity, safety, regulatory matters, specifications, certifications, technical claims, pricing, or other information that could materially affect another party.
8 Personal and Highly Sensitive Information
You may not use ChemSite to collect, process, disclose, or publish personal information unlawfully. ChemSite is not intended as a repository for medical records, full payment-card data, government identification numbers, authentication secrets, or similarly sensitive information unless HEXNET expressly supports that use and appropriate safeguards are in place.
9 Manipulation of Market Intelligence
You may not knowingly submit fabricated, manipulated, misleading, or artificial data for the purpose of distorting HEXNET analytics, benchmarks, pricing trends, market signals, rankings, Derived Intelligence, or other intelligence outputs. You may not coordinate with others to manipulate market observations or create false demand, supply, pricing, inquiry, or engagement signals.
10 Enforcement
HEXNET may investigate suspected violations and may remove or restrict content, limit functionality, block activity, suspend accounts, or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect ChemSite, customers, third parties, HEXNET, or the integrity of market intelligence, or to comply with law.
Where circumstances permit, we may provide notice and an opportunity to cure. Immediate action may be taken for security threats, fraud, unlawful activity, repeated violations, material risk, or conduct that could compromise the Service or materially corrupt intelligence outputs.
11 Reporting and Changes
Suspected abuse, security issues, infringement concerns, or AUP violations may be reported through the contact information published on ChemSite.io. HEXNET may update this AUP as the Service and applicable legal or security requirements evolve. The current version will be posted with its effective date.
